Canadian Coin News is Canada's premier source of information about
coins, notes and medals.
Although we cover the entire world of numismatics, the majority of
our readers are Canadian, and we concentrate on the unique
circumstances surrounding collecting in our native land. Our
editorial pages include information on new and old issues, as well as
commentary, investment tips and Canada's most up-to-date listings of
Canadian coin and paper money prices.
The magazine was formed more than 40 years ago by Chet Krause, who
built the largest hobby publishing company in the world out of Iola,
Wisconsin.
Early on, Chet realized that in order to thrive, what was then called
Canada Coin News had to be a Canadian operation. Although Chet stayed
involved for a number of years, he sold the magazine to resident
editor Cale Jarvis.
The publication changed hands several times, ending up with its
present owners, Trajan Publishing, in 1989.
